Fresh out of High School, I set out to join the US Navy without knowing what I wanted to do. I served in the US Navy for five years as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician onboard USS Milius, DDG-69. I was responsible for maintaining and operating the main propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
